I'm coming Costa Rica! So grateful Jesus holds me up.

Hola,

Bro Imma be in Costa Rica in a week. I saw this guy from Costa Rica arrive at the CCM the other day and it just kinda hit me. So hyped right now. Imma miss my homies in the district. Speaking of which I don't think this week has been too hot for my companion. Earlier this week he had to get a shot in the butt at the hospital.😂 And also we've been playing this random game where we try to slip silverware from the cafeteria into people's pockets without them noticing. And so he was in the process of shoving like 7 utensils in my bag when the literal president of the MTC walks up behind him HAHAHA. He just kinda stood there laughing and then asked him if that's what Jesus would do, he's super chill.

The atonement of Jesus has been a massive focus for me this week actually. In a talk by Jeffrey R Holland titled "None were with Him" he talks about Christ in Gethsemane. We know a lot about how much he suffered physically and emotionally. But spiritually, previous to this moment, He had had a tight unbreakable connection to Our Father in heaven, His only lifeline at this point in His life. But in order to complete the atonement the Father pulled back His spirit in this hour of unspeakable pain. Left only to watch His Beloved son suffer the greatest feeling of loneliness, the same feeling we feel when we sin, being without the spirit. I know that Jesus knows how hard life can get. With the bitter victory in Gethsemane, Christ suffered your deepest sorrows so that if you choose to, you don't have to go through such things alone. Let your Elder Brother hold you up.

Celebrations. Hopefully fireworks? I'm never alone.

Hey y'all,
this week went by so dang fast and it was filled with so many things, I feel like it's been a year since I've been back home. We had a birthday in our district the other day and um, we kinda went crazy for him. We may have skipped just a tad little bit of class and went to the store here and bought like everything I could see for this Elder HAHAHA.

Also, while I'm literally writing this letter there are these sounds going off. Similar to the sound of like a 50 caliber rifle firing, and it happens every like 5 minutes. It's lit. Our teachers tell us they're fireworks and sometimes we see the smoke but um, i'm still not 100% sure bout it. whatever lol.

This week I was studying a lot about Moroni. The one who like buried the plates and spent a bunch of time in a rock and helped Joseph Smith get the plates and showed him where they were yeah that guy. great guy fr. But the thing that struck me was he literally wrote about the fall of the Jaredite civilization in Ether (a really old group of people that just ended up just killing each other in the end). And then he personally witnessed the fall of the Nephite civilization in the rest of the Book of Mormon. So if any one knew how a civilization falls, it was Moroni. He said that a civilization falls when people become isolated and people only feel isolated when they harden themselves to the spirit (Moroni 10:21-34). I have said this so so many times. But really, seek the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is God talking to you. The greatest being in the entire universe, the one who created all of the grandiose planets and stars, talking to you. Wanting to help you. Wanting to bless you. Listen.

Love you guys,

Epic 1st week at the Mexico MTC!

Heyyoooo,

This is like my first freetime in like 2 weeks it feels so weird lol. The Mexico MTC is really really awesome! This place is crazy! Speaking of which we don't have filtered water here, so all of the water we drink comes from these 5 gallon water bottles they put out front of our houses. But last night we ran out. So our house is literally just dying of thirst over here trying to figure out where we can get water. Then
we remembered that the other houses have water too. So me and my roomate run over to the house next door in the pouring rain to quietly steal a water so they don't notice, we grab it and literally as we're leaving we look through the window and i kid you not, the whole house is just sitting there watching us steal their water HAHAHA. I was dying bro so golden. Its alright though because we got the water.

Even with stuff like that happening hahaha, the spirit here is so cool. You can see it everywhere but especially here. Satan tries so so dang hard to mess people up when they're doing good. I haven't even gotten to the mission field yet and you can feel a presence of something weighing on you to bring you down. UNTIL you read that epic book of mormon and bible, until you pray, until you have faith (D&C 90:24). It will surprise you how puny and powerless satan's despair and hopelessness and other problems are if you turn to Christ, the INSTANT you turn to Christ. So turn to Christ.
