Finishing up home MTC & heading to Mexico this week for more training!

It's my last few days here in Gilbert. Crazy. I remember before I started I was wondering how it would feel to start the mtc online. And through that first week, you probably already know I was not too pumped about it. I remember thinking "oh man, I can't believe it's already Thursday! Time is flying by so quickly!". It was Monday. Not so great a feeling. Think I almost cried myself to sleep that night hahaha

But holy cow, that has turned around so fast! This week was so amazing. I didn't think you could feel so much of the Holy Ghost at once. Like it is so STRONG. It's like your mind turns into a little do good elf and all it wants to do is serve and love and be so so very happy! It's epic! To devote all my time to helping others to feel that is so nice. It feels POWERFUL, but like powerful as in wow, this is THE best possible thing you could be doing, of all the things. That kinda powerful! I am so grateful for that. I wanna invite you to feel that like I do. That great feeling and the little do goodie elf, for you! I invite you to kneel before God in sincere prayer, ask for the power of the Holy Ghost in your day, and then, work! Serve others however you can! Read the Book of Mormon and the Bible! Watch the talks of modern latter day saint prophets! That's how you feel that feeling. That's how you come unto Christ.

My first week as a missionary!

Hey y'all,

I made it through my first week. I'm really not sure how to feel about it. Like there are a couple things I was just really not ready for. After the first two days I kinda fell into a groove of getting things done. I thought, man this is not too bad. Boy, was I wrong. I remember being asked, kyle, on top of the 8 hours that you already go to class to study the gospel and to learn Spanish, will you take another two and a half hours or more on your own time to devote to the lord? Yup, I will. Kyle, will you wake up every morning at 6 am? Yup, I will. Kyle, will you make a post on facebook? Oh poop. You would have thought I had been asked to jump off of a bridge. Joking aside, there were some times this week where I really struggled to find hope. Even though I was studying about the hope of Christ more every day than I ever had, I had a couple tough moments. However, that same night I was reading about King Lamoni's father, asking about what I should do and I read that he had a similar struggle to mine. When this happened, a missionary just like me named Aaron spoke of the power of God. That "if thou wilt repent of all thy sins, and will bow down before God, and call on his name in faith, believing that ye shall receive, then shalt thou receive the hope which thou desirest" (Alma 22:15-16). What power! Like DUDE, I could not have asked for a better answer. So, so amazing. I love this power in the scriptures and I invite you to do what I did. Ask God what you should do to help you with your problem. How can I find hope? How can I help my family? How do I serve others? It doesn't matter what you ask him. But ask him. now. Look for an answer in the scriptures, in the words of the prophets who love you. Y por el poder del espíritu santo podréis conocer la verdad de todas las cosas.
